YOGA & AYURVEDA RETREAT

at HONEYMOON GUESTHOUSES - UBUD, BALI
5 - 11 FEBRUARY, 2011

Join Rachel for this weeklong Yoga & Ayurveda package in Ubud, Bali, and be pampered to your heart’s content. Stay in stylish and very comfortable accommodation at the well-known Honeymoon Guesthouses – just a short stroll to Ubud’s centre – while practicing Yoga and Ayurveda with Rachel daily.

What's Included:
Included in the retreat are: two treatments - one Balinese massage plus one special Ayurvedic treatment; a private consultation with our favourite Ayurvedic Doctor; accommodation in a lovely, private room (single or twin share - your choice), with attached new bathroom; daily breakfasts; three group dinners (plus a guide to recommended Ubud restaurants for your own dining ventures). Also included is a Casa Luna Balinese Vegetarian Cooking Class, where you get to enjoy the dishes you helped to create.

What's Ayurveda:
If you’re not sure what Ayurveda is, in brief it means 'The Science of Life', and is a form of natural medicine that has been practiced in India for thousands of years and is designed to go hand in hand with your Yoga practice. Take a look at the Ayurveda button on this website and you’ll find more information.

Retreat Schedule:

Check-in on the afternoon of Saturday 5th February. Group orientation/'meet and greet' later that afternoon plus a shared dinner that night. Yoga and Ayurveda classes start the next day and follow a similar schedule to that outlined below. Our final day is Friday 11th February. We will have a class that morning and share our breakfast together. And then checkout after that (unless you choose to stay on longer).

A typical day will look like this…although, as this is designed to be a retreat for you, everything is optional:

7.30 - 9.30am – Yoga Class with Rachel – Morning classes will be calm yet more dynamic.

9.45am – Shared Breakfast.

After Breakfast - Free time to relax by the pool or read a book at Honeymoon Guesthouse, walk around town as you choose, or take your spa treatments or consultation with the Ayurvedic Doctor.

4 – 6pm – Afternoons usually consist of a more relaxing Yoga class, as well as a discussion with Rachel on some important concepts in Ayurveda including diet and digestion, constitution (prakriti), imbalance (vikriti), the qualities of the mind (gunas), kitchen spices, etc.

Dinner – On the first evening we will share a group dinner together. In the middle of the week we will share another dinner together, and we will spend our final evening at the restaurant with the most stunning view in town, Indus. This is all included in the package.

We have intentionally left the other evenings and lunches free for you to decide where to eat, as Ubud is abundant with great restaurants and Honeymoon is just a few minutes walk to most of them. If you prefer not to go out, you can easily order food and have it at the guesthouse.

There is one morning where we will have the Casa Luna Cooking Class, where the schedule will change slightly.
