HERBAL MEDICINE & YOGA RETREAT

          UBUD - BALI: 13 - 20 JUNE, 2011
with JACINTA McEWEN & RACHEL HULL

TYPICAL DAY: We will begin the mornings with a Yoga class led by

Rachel, followed by a group breakfast. After a little break, we will continue

into a class on herbal medicine led by Jacinta, or, we will take one of our

trips to either the permaculture centre or somewhere else. We will rest for

lunch and some time off. Later in the afternoon we will meet again for a

herbal themed class, and on some afternoons, a restorative and restful Yoga

practice. Dinners will either be shared or free time, depending on the day.

VENUE: The retreat will be held at Melati Cottages in Penestanan, Ubud,

Bali. Melati Cottages are simple and sweet, and set amongst natural gardens

and rice fields. If you want to go into Ubud town centre, it is about 5 minutes

by car or motorbike, or a 20-minute walk.

PRICE & INCLUSIONS: The TOTAL retreat cost will range between Australian $1555

and $1685, depending on which room you take and whether you are sharing or not.

As Melati Cottages charge their accommodation prices in US$ and we are charging Australian $ for our part of the retreat, we have decided to list the accommodation price separately from the other prices.

Australian $1385 is payable to Shakti Spirit Yoga – this covers all herbal medicine tuition and products used, all Yoga tuition, 2 x spa treatments (one at Cantika Spa and one at Kush Ayurvedic Spa), 1 x trip to Tri Hita Karana Permaculture Centre, 2 x organic lunches and 3 x dinners.

You are free to eat lunch and the remaining dinners at one of the many restaurants either in town (5 mins away), or at a local warung close-by (a warung is a local Indonesian restaurant, usually very inexpensive and delicious).

ACCOMMODATION: Accommodation will be at Melati Cottages and is priced in US$. The price includes breakfasts (which we will supplement with healthy options), and 15% Government tax. You can book the room through us, and pay Melati Cottages when you arrive.  All rooms have attached bathrooms, mosquito nets and a balcony.

Single Room (for 1 person) x 7 nights = US$175

Double Room (1 person) x 7 nights = US$210

Double Room (2 people sharing) x 7 nights = US$ 280 per room

Family Room (1 person) x 7 nights = US$245

Family Room (2 people sharing) x 7 nights = US$315 per room
